South Korea implements an educational construction Project in Kurdistan

The Korea International Cooperation Organization is currently implementing a multi-million dollar educational construction project designed to improve basic access to education throughout the Kurdistan Region. This project includes the building of large educational complexes in all three Governorates, each of which will include a laboratory and sport stadium.

 

KRG Department of Foreign Relations, announced that the South Korean Ambassador to Iraq, Mr Sukbum Park, discussed potential means to further expand coordination and cooperation in a variety of areas in his meeting with president Barzani earlier this week.

 

Minister Mustafa said, “The Kurdistan Regional Government encourages any initiative that will further consolidate our friendship. South Korea’s efforts here have been a great boost to the rebuilding process of our nation. The Republic of South Korea has been an important partner to Kurdistan, and we will do all that we can to further develop this friendship.”

 

Ambassador Park was accompanied in all of his meetings by the Head of the Korean Embassy Office in Erbil, Consul General Joongchul Joo.
