There are 2300 foreign firms working in Iraq’s northern autonomous region of Kurdistan, according to a regional statement.
A governmental statement received by “Shafaq News” reads that “Minister of Trade and Industry in Kurdistan Region registered about 2300 international foreign companies in addition to some 15,000 local companies so far working in the region”.

“It is necessary to take into consideration the significance of those companies when fining or penalizing them “.

It is worth mentioning that the region’s legislation regards investments was one of those encouraging factors utilized international firms presence in Kurdistan in an advance step over the other parts of Iraq.
