The Minister of Transport of the Kurdistan region has announced that car manufacturers will come to Kurdistan, and that many investors are interested in the project.

The Minister stated that Kurdistan wants to manufacture the cars locally by establishing a car manufacture in the Kurdistan region. This project will be financed by the private sector and not by the KRG.

This project will boost the economy of the region by creating thousands of employment opportunities in the Kurdistan region, the exact number of work places are not known yet.
