The first annual Iraq Airport Expansion Cargo and Logistics (IAECL) conference & exhibition will be held in Erbil on the 26th and 28th of April, 2011, at the Erbil international fair grounds.

Iraq's major airports are being re-developed, and provincial governments are upgrading existing airports as well as planning the construction of new airports.

Cargo and logistics facilities are also being given a facelift. Cargo villages are planned with latest shelving, storage technology and material handling equipments.

Procurement of a range of solutions from design and build engineers, air traffic control systems, baggage handling and passenger ticketing equipment is underway.
