Sky's the Limit for Iraq Airports and Logistics Conference

The sky's the limit for new business opportunities, partnerships & business ventures says the organiser of the inaugural Iraq Airport Expansion, Cargo Logistics Conference and Exhibition which takes place from April 6-7, 2011, in the northern city of Erbil, Kurdistan.

The event has been designed to provide a gateway for companies in the aviation, airports, cargo and logistics sectors to better understand the needs of the Iraq aviation industry as it continues its revitalization and rehabilitation. It is envisaged that more than$150 billion worth of airport and logistics infrastructure related projects are under consideration in Iraq.

The event has already attracted support from leading Iraq & International companies those are in the aviation, airports, cargo & logistics fraternity and the event is supported by British Aviation Group, Gulf Ground Handling Association, German Airports Group, Middle East Aerospace Consortium and other industry related associations across the globe. The event is also supported by the respective government ministries of Iraq.

Event spokesperson Raj Menon said that this conference and exhibition will attract together the government departments, aviation & airports contractors, equipment manufacturers & suppliers, airlines, logistics & cargo firms and various support service providers to develop the partnerships & competitive business solutions.

Erbil has been chosen as the host city because of its pro-business environment for foreign investments, safety and security, and to showcase its new $550 million international airport and terminal with the fourth longest runway in the world.
